January platinum PLF5, -0.71% lost $6.30, or 0.5%, to $1,199 an ounce, while December palladium PAZ4, -1.02% fell $2.80 to $770.85 an ounce. High-grade copper for December delivery HGZ4, +0.02% slipped 3 cents to $2.99 a pound.
